Text polling seems to be the buzz right now on campus. Mr. Ramsdell was telling me about using it for discussion purposes. I witnessed Mrs. Reisinger using it with her classes as her closing product! The poll asked kids to tell what math concept their group thought was easiest to work from that day. I would guess that Lead Your Schools would be very proud of that use of closing question.
Mr. Colosimo has his art students using a Web 2.0 tool called Tagxedo today. This program allows you to put in text and then it creates a word cloud based on that text. Tagxedo has multiple shapes that you can create and you can even upload your own picture. The program sizes words based on their frequency in the text. Mr. Colosimo had his students putting in song lyrics and creating a visual display. The images below, if you can't tell, are Mark and Becky in Tagxedo. The content that creates the images actually comes from our TMS InTech website!
I am so impressed that so many of you are trying new things. Keep up the good work and we hope to continue to be able to report cool technology happening in our classrooms!
